I’m writing an article about beavers and the two worlds have blended. I see beaver democrats building a new structure from underwater. They just kept laying one branch on another and it took shape. They got it above the waterline. Bears can’t break into beaver lodges. Republicans cannot destroy the structure of democracy.
“A boil has been lanced,” said my nurse friend, regarding the election outcome.
It feels like Trump folks all agreed to a pretend story, a series of fabrications. Any interruption of that is menacing!
We have work going forward. I want to form bipartisan study groups. Make America read again! Make them do it with a variety of perspectives. Let’s learn how to learn!
So far, the outline is: meet, focus on one issue at a time, study it from vetted sources, discuss. Not defend, discuss what we see and feel. I know, it’s radical.

Not all are happy. Dead people voted, and too many of them. The dead went with a democrat president for 2020.
I moved the cat to the sunny spot on the bed to vacuum the chair he was in. Bathe in the sun, vacuum the shadows. I’m high on democracy today.
Most democracies vote on Sunday. The USA doesn’t because of old concerns about the sabbath and farming schedules. Time to update.
